A Successful Trip

Today I filled up my water bottle, strapped on my protective gear and rode my bike to work for the first time.  It was a very nice cool morning and at 5:00 am, there are not many cars out.  My trip, on my new Schwinn bike, took a little over 17 minutes to travel 3.7 miles.  My average speed was 12.8 miles per hour with a top speed of 19 mph.  I'll have to agree with my wife, who said "See you really are a geek because you even bought a computer for your bike."  As a result of this trip I can also say that the showers that my work had installed are a very nice feature, although next time I think I'll remember my towel.

After all that packing last night I can't believe that you forgot a towel! I'm proud of you for getting some exercise. Make sure you're careful on the way home, there will be more cars.

How did you know that was the model I bought? No I settled for the Sidewinder, which isn't even listed on Schwinn's website. I think I got ripped off.
