Good Reading

First off, sorry for the lack of news lately.  Last Wednesday Kelly and I had the chance to go to Chicago and attend the temple.  We hadn't been there in over six years, so it was really nice to be able to go.  After that we stopped at the LDS bookstore, New Words of Wisdom.  While looking around I found a sale rack that I had to check out.  In it, I found a book called Cutting Edge, by Jeffrey S. Savage.  The cover was what first caught my attention, then I read the back cover which intrigued me even more.

I finally cracked it open on Friday night.  I read the first forty pages which just got the story rolling and was enough to draw me into reading some more on Saturday.  When I picked it up on Saturday afternoon I thought I would read for a few minutes before taking a little nap.  That didn't happen.  I didn't put the book down until I had read the remaining two hundred pages, well I did literally put it down for dinner and to help give the girls showers.

I thought the book was a great technical, suspenseful thriller.  It was very easy to read and like I said it just pulled me into reading it all at once.  At the end of the book I was reading about the author and saw that he listed his email address, looking for comments.  Saturday night I sent him a message complimenting him on his book and thanking him for writing it.  Sunday I received a very nice reply from him.

I look forward to reading his next book, Into The Fire.
