Time to Charge Back

After two separate appointments, both of which I have spent an hour or more waiting to see the doctor, I have come to this conclusion.  It's time for us, the patients, to start charging doctors.  I don't mind paying a doctor for the services they provide us, but I'm sick and tired of the time I waste waiting to see them.  Now I know that I'm not a very patient person, but when I have to wait in the waiting room for an hour or more after my scheduled appointment, that is ridiculous.  I should charge the doctor's office for that time that I lost.

Maybe they should stop trying to squeeze so many patients into one day and try and space out their schedule a little bit more.  Couldn't they benefit from an extra ten or fifteen minutes in between appointments?  They could use this time to return messages or fill out patient charts.

I'm frustrated, can't you tell?

Since I had to witness your frustration I wish that I could make it better for you. I need to point out your type-o. I know you were steaming when you wrote this and didn't proof read. :-)

I think I found the extra a and removed it. Thanks!

I don't like it either. Sometimes you wait an hour to see the doctor for five minutes. I guess in a perfect world, it would be the other way around.

Yeah that's true. The best doctors are the ones who spend time with you and listen, but then that makes them late for their next appointment.

Hummmm ... I wonder if we could call in and ask how far behind the doc is running and adjust our arrival time.

We used to call ahead with our old doctor's office, because he was notorious for running very far behind. Mostly because he was such a good doctor who spent lots of time with each patient.

Ok so one of the previously mentioned Doctor's office get a reprieve. Today's appointment ran the way it should. In and out in 45 minutes. There were also two separate individuals who apologized for the last episode. This doesn't change my stance but it does make me feel a little better.
