And Then There Were Four

Yesterday I was feeling a little under the weather so I left work early and headed home to bed. Since I seem to have the inability to sleep during the day (i.e. take naps), I popped in a DVD that a friend from work had lent me. It was the first disc from season one of the Fox show 24. I've never watched the show but was told it was really good. I ended up watching the first eight shows. I was hooked.

I think I will continue to only watch the seasons after they come out on DVD (two and three are already available). I don't want to get hooked into watching TV on another night. I like the fact that I only "have" to watch TV on two nights of the week.

On Sunday nights we've been watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Actually for the past two weeks both girls (Megan totally and Mattey somewhat) have been watching it with us. Then on Wednesday I have to see Alias, and then lately I have been watching the show Lost which is on right before Alias. Both shows are directed by the same person.

It's also been nice that we’ve cut down on the amount of channels we have. A few months ago we cut back from Expanded Basic to just Basic cable and the difference has been wonderful. First it costs about $30 cheaper and it has drastically limited the amount of TV we watch.
