January 7th

I can't believe the weather today.  If I didn't know better I'd think Spring was on it's way.  It's just a trick, there's a good 2-3 months of winter left no matter what the groundhog predicts in a few weeks.  Here it is the 7th of January and it's 64 degrees outside!  We had rain during the night melting away what was left over of the inches of snow we got last week.  The only snow remaining is found in parking lots, large dirty piles of it.  Here's the story on the weather from the local news station.  It's been mostly overcast but the sun did show itself while I was out running errands.  It was so nice.  The forecast for the rest of the week shows it will get cold again with snow likely by the weekend.  I guess the kids will get to play in the snow again.

Darn it. We definitely picked the wrong week to visit South Bend! Lucky you guys. Does it take the fun out of knitting to have it be so sunny and warm outside? (Provo's forecasting snow through the weekend! Enjoy the sun for us!

Yeah and if you would have visited now you could have used a canoe to get to our house. It poured all night long and is still raining this morning.

It's too late to build an Ark ... maybe we can rent one.

I heard Evan Almighty is selling his.

I had the windows open most of the day. That was a nice treat for January. I'm glad the rain finally let up today and let the sunshine through a little. Maybe things will dry up some before all the snow comes.

Better prepare the ark for snow, because I think the big one we got is headed your way!

Thanks for the warning. I'll go stock up on the essentials for the blizzard. I hope it doesn't get here until after Thursday night. I really need to get out and scrapbook.
