Jam Session

What do you do with several pounds of fresh fruit?  You eat as much as you can and then make jam before it spoils.  That’s what I did yesterday, the jam part I mean.  I took a lot of these

Peaches

…and some of these

Blueberries

…mixed it with sugar and some of this

Certo

…and I got a lot of this

Lots of Jam

I made four batches of peach and one batch of blueberry.  I don’t even want to think about how much sugar I used.  I have to make room in the freezer for all this.  That means I have to pull out grapes from last year and some strawberries and I’ll have to turn them into jelly and jam too.  I think we’ll be set for the year.  I just might have to buy another little freezer to store it all.

If you ever come to our house please ask to have a peanut butter and jelly/jam sandwich.  I’ll promise you it will taste good.

Yum- it all looks dee-lish! If I lived closer I’d for sure come over for a sandwich, or just a piece of bread with some jam! :) Nothing is as good as homemade when it comes to jams and jellies- sorry Smuckers. Way to go Kelly!

That looks delicious. Maybe we could even make a trip out for the sandwiches…especially if you’ll cut one in the shape of a fish for me!
