Mickey's Birthday

Here it is the 18th already and Mickey's birthday was 10 days ago.  Better late then never, right?  Here's the run down of the day:  after dropping cupcakes off at his office Kade and I took Mickey out to lunch at Panera Bread.  He was told to take a long lunch by his boss so we also stopped at Circut City before lunch and Target after.  (We didn't buy anything, although he ordered something from Circut City later.)  Then he had to go back to work for a little while before taking cousin John to the airport.  Oh, I forgot to mention that John was in town for the day so they got to spend some quality time together at PG.  In the afternoon Mickey opened his stack of presents from us.  All Legos.  What more could he want?  Not much.  The kids thought it was great.  What a nice dad to let them play with his new toys.

Then we stopped by Kevin & Mary's to give our niece Crissy her birthday card.  The 8th is a busy day.  Mickey had asked me to make meatloaf for his birthday dinner but we were a little busy so I made it the next day and we went to Famous Dave's for dinner.  There we met one of Mike's ballooning friends Fitzwilli.  He made Mickey a birthday crown.  The kids got a balloon too.  I didn't take the camera.

Then it was time for cake.  He always asks for a lemon one and I comply.  This year after eating the cake he decided to ask for something different next year.  No, I didn't make it taste bad, it just didn't have much flavor.  Here he is blowing out his candles, with a little help from Kade.

Happy Birthday, Babe!  Hope you had a great day.  Next year we decided we're going away for a combined birthday celebration.  Now where should we go....

Happy Birthday to Mickey!

I never knew Mickey's dad did balloon animals until Betty mentioned it, and we have been to Famous Dave's on Balloon night before... Too funny. I like your birthday idea for next year! Good luck deciding on where to go though!
