Father's Day

We had a low key Father's Day since we couldn't give Mickey breakfast in bed or make him a special dinner.  It's also a little hard to get someone breakfast when he's the one waking me up at 7:00.  Since Saturday was rather boring we gave Mickey his gift then.  (Thankfully I finished it early afternoon on Friday.)  I got inspired about a month ago for this project.  I had to do a little research to make it.  And I pulled it off without Mickey having a clue.  That's hard to do.  Here's the gift on the dad.

Father's Day

He said "It's so true", referring to the saying on the shirt.

I have learned that freezer paper is awesome.  I think we'll be using up my 150 sqft making more shirts this summer.  I'm sure the kids will come up with some good ideas.  Now I wish I had a Cricut.

Mickey did get a decent dinner.  I cooked up some chicken breasts, sweet potatoes, and baked beans all on the grill.  While I slaved over the grill Mickey, the kids, and the neighbor girl played whiffle ball.  I'll admit I didn't slave too much and got to play a little too.  We ate outside on the deck.  I think we ended up having a nice night.

Freezer paper? I'm lost.

But that is a perfect shirt for Mickey!

Janel, you use freezer paper to make a stencil, iron it to the shirt, and paint your design. There are tutorials on you tube.
