Secret Gifts

This morning the kids got their secret gifts from me.  You know, the ones I mentioned here.  I was trying to make them wait a while, or make the presents last more than just a few minutes of the morning, but they talked me into it.  Plus I really wanted to see their reactions to my hard work.

Kade opened his first.  He was very happy about it.

Mattey seemed to be happy about hers too.

Meg also liked hers.

I bet you're wondering what I gave of love.

They each got a quilt.  The quilts all need to be bound but they are done enough to be given and appreciated.  They all snuggled with theirs throughout the day.

Here's a links for the quilts if you'd like to make one too:  Meg's and Mattey's.  I bought a kit from a local quilt store for Kade's.  (His is big enough to cover his bed, which he's been asking for for months now.)  Since this was my first time machine quilting I didn't try anything too hard.  I would like to practice for a while and maybe add some decorative stitching later.  We'll see.  I bought some fabric for a quilt for me a while ago.  I hope to get to it soon.  Have you noticed how I always need to have a project?  What does that mean?

Merry Christmas!
